AndersonRon Anderson, President and CEO


Mr. Anderson began his career in 1974 with Federal Express serving in a variety of jobs, including Attorney, Managing Director of Contracts, Vice President of Aircraft Acquisitions and Sales, and President of Federal Express Aviation Services, which he founded. He was directly involved in building the Federal Express fleet to over 350 jet freighters. He chaired the fleet planning committee of Federal Express, and led the efforts to evaluate every type of potential freight aircraft for operation by the company.

In 1994 Mr. Anderson, along with Frederick W. Smith, Chairman and CEO of FedEx, founded Intrepid AviationSM Partners, which has acquired, leased and sold 43 aircraft including Boeing 727, Airbus A300-600 and A310-300 aircraft to operators around the world. Mr. Anderson was also a principal in Logair, a joint venture charged with the disposition of the entire Emery Worldwide Airlines aircraft fleet of over 40 aircraft.

Mr. Anderson is a founding member and past President of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) and currently serves on the Rhodes College Board of Trustees. Mr. Anderson received his B. A. from Rhodes College and his J. D. from Memphis State University School of Law.
